Superior Instruction
Welcome to The Martial Way of Flagstaff! The Martial Way (TMW) which also has operated as USA Taekwondo Centers and is the oldest established martial arts school in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona in 1988 by Grand Master Scott Feagan. In 2004 we adopted “The Martial Way” name in conjunction with it’s founder based on his vision. We strive to foster quality personal protection, self-improvement and personal development through focused and qualified training. Some of our core principles are Honor, Loyalty, Kindness, and Justice. Programs are presently offered in Taekwondo, reality-based self defense (Modern MooSaDo), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Balintawak Eskrima.
TMW presently offers two state of the art facilities located in Scottsdale and Flagstaff Arizona. Instruction is given by highly qualified instructors with more than 70 years of combined experience.
Additional programs and a more flexible schedule is now offered! In addition, The Martial Way is home of the only Grand Master Instructor and highest ranked & qualified Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Modern MooSaDo instructor in Flagstaff & Northern Arizona!
TMW offers a well-rounded service with a sound foundation in stand-up martial arts. We also offer our clients the tools for excellent personal protection on the ground or utilizing modern day weapons. For those looking for a sport outlet, we offer multiple programs in martial sports such as mixed martial arts (MMA), Olympic Taekwondo (TKD), and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Our traditional martial arts include Taekwondo, Hapkido, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Balintawak Eskrima.

The Martial Way has developed an excellent system that maintains core family values such as discipline, focus, respect, and confidence, while teaching true self defense. Modern MooSaDo – (MMSD)
The system of Modern Moo Sa Do (MMSD) literally means the “way of the modern warrior” and is a hybrid, reality-based system of personal protection and martial art that utilizes techniques from multiple martial art systems. The system is new to the reality-based martial arts world, but the principles have been in existence for over a hundred years. MMSD also recognizes that the history of modern martial arts predominately came from warrior based martial systems that have been watered down over time due to society and social based evolution; changing directions to meet the needs of today’s ever growing clientèle….
